B: I’d like to try chopsticks. Would you teach me how to hold them?
A: (Demonstrates) You hold them slightly apart between your thumb and forefinger, pressed against the side of your middle finger as if you were holding a pencil. To pick up food, you press your forefinger against the upper chopstick and they will close in a pincer-like movement, like this.
B: (Imitating) There, how’s this?
A: Splendid.
